Amanda Knox

The family of Amanda Knox, the Seattle college student jailed for the murder of her British roomate in Italy, will speak to Oprah tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. Although Amanda was convicted of killing her roomate - Meredith Kercher in November 2007 and sentenced to prison for 26 years, many Americans feel the case lacks major evidence and was overly-sensationalized in the Italian media.

Friends and family of Amanda Knox in the US were devastated when the Italian jury found her guilty of Kercher's murder. One thing about the Italian justice system that puzzled many is that the jury was not sequestered, so they heard and seen all the media hype and tabloid reports issued in connection with the case. In the US, we call that an "unfair" trial. Seattle Weekly reports that there is some hope that the US Government will be able to put diplomatic pressure on the Italian government. Whether or not it will work is up in the air. There are no plans so far to do so, and it is also possible that Amanda Knox could get freed upon appeal.

The appeal process could take up to two years, meaning that a good chunk of Knox's life will have been tied up in the Meredith Kercher murder case. Read more about the case here.

One billionaire who's supporting Amanda Knox is Donald Trump. He states that the Italians should "put the prosecutor in jail, not Amanda." He also calls for a boycott of Italy until they decide to get serious and let the American girl go.

I'm definitely tuning in to watch because I have been following the case closely. What do you think? Was the trial fair? Were the evidence pointing at Amanda Knox strong enough for conviction? SHOULD the US Government put diplomatic pressure on the Italian government? Will Amanda come back to the U.S. when she's.... 50?

The Lady With Two Vaginas!

Written by XiXi Yang
Move away, Harry Potter! We've found something more enchanting from Great Britain. On Friday, Tyra introduced Lauren Williams, a British lady born with two vaginas, to the world. "I've got two uteruses. Just one to each (fallopian tube), then they go down to two cervixes, and then it did go down to the two vaginas," said Williams, who was diagnosed with the deformity when she was 25. My heart goes out to Lauren, who has two menstrual periods a month! Ouch... I have so many questions I want to ask, haha! Thank God Perez Hilton got his hands on a part of the video. Click below to watch the clip! This is insane! What do you think?

Desiree Jennings Gets Dystonia From Flu Shot

Ten days after Desiree Jennings got the seasonal flu shot, she got sick and was finally diagnosed with dystonia. "I got flu-like symptoms - nausea, omiting, body aches, fever - then was lethargic for a week and started blacking out," said Jennings, an AOL employee and Washington Redskins ambassador hoping to become a cheerleader. In the beginnning, doctors were baffled as to why Desiree's speech and walking were so affected. Finally, doctors at Johns Hopkins diagnosed Jennings with dystonia, a rare neurological condition with no cure brought on by infections, brain trauma or, as in Desiree’s case... a reaction to medication. It causes body jerks and abnormal or repetitive movements. Desiree's reaction to flu shot is said to be one in a million.

When the story first surfaced, many people online thought it was a hoax. Unfortunately, this heart-breakening story appears to be true! A lot of people don't realize that when they get flu shots, there are actually virus in the vaccine to combat the flu. Unfortunately, no other way around it as of now. My prayers go out to Desiree and the pain she must be dealing with right now!

Balloon Boy's Comedic Fart On CNN!

Written by XiXi Yang
Yesterday, two science enthusiasts parents (both featured on ABC's Wife Swap in March) staged a search for their 6-year-old boy to get more attention. The tragic news of a balloon set adrift by a 6-year-old boy from his parents’ Colorado home and was empty when it landed traveled everywhere. While America was worried sick about finding Falcon, he was actually hiding in the attic the whole time!

When Larry King asked Falcon why he didn't come out upon hearing his parents' voices, Falcon confesses "You guys said that we did this for a show" then farts on CNN!

The boy's comedic timing is absolutely perfect!! With or without the balloon, this kid's going places. Wink

John & Kate + 8 move aside! America has a new eccentric family.
