Though she's lived in China and Japan before
settling in America, XiXi Yang is a true small-town girl at heart with goals
and dreams of conquering the big cities! She started her career in television
by gaining international recognition as Miss China at the 25th
Annual Hawaiian Tropic International Pageant. A former host and a VJ for Dance
Music Television, channel 18 in Westchester, New York, XiXi brought fun and
enthusiasm to her events coverage and interviews with celebrities such as
William Demeo, Gianni Russo, Kim Sozzi, and Lucas Prata. As a guest host for Blender, XiXi brought sassiness and humor to the tube as she laughed
along with the boys from The Answer right outside of Madison Square Garden,
before their big performance opening for AC/DC. ![]() XiXi Yang has also appeared on MTVu, counting down the College Dean's List with attitude and charm. She joked up a tsunami when she co-host with Tommy Davidson for the pilot of Battle of the Unknown Comics. She is a regular guest on Maxim Radio and Sirius Radio 198, taking on to the airwaves to win the hearts of many. ![]() With unprecedented publicity in Asia and the US,
XiXi is working hard to expand her brand as a fashion, commercial, and
lifestyle model. Her fierce photos caught the eyes of non-other-than the Queen
herself - Tyra Banks! Tyra invited XiXi to her show, episode Top Model Toga
Party, as she surprised her by awarding her as a golden ticket winner for America's Next Top Model Cycle 13! XiXi has also graced 8-pages in FHM and
was featured in many magazines along with commercials for Geico, 3 Doors Down,
Burger King, and Axe. XiXi also has a featured role in one of hip-hop’s fastest
rising star Jeremih in his newest music video "Imma Sar"! As an actress, XiXi is credited alongside of major
Hollywood stars such as Steve Carell, Leslie David Parker, Matthew R. Anderson,
and Dylan McDermott, just to name a few. She has appeared in "Michael Scott's
Paper Company" in Season 5 of The Office as Jasmine, Ryan's girl from
Thailand. She was also featured in "Secret Girlfriends" on Comedy Central and TNT's hottest new series "Dark Blue". Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin), XiXi has a huge interest in new media and social networking machines. Besides facebooking, googling, and conversing with her tweeples in twitterverse, XiXi studied Mass Media & Communications at New York University. Her first publication was in 2005, when she was fascinated by the cultural differences between American and Chinese high school teenagers. XiXi published an article in China's Yangzi Newspaper, titled "Comparing Cultural Differences: American and Chinese High School Students". The basis of her studies came from the 9-page questionnaires she passed to 275 high school students in both countries. The article also reflected XiXi's own childhood - the joy and the tears she went through growing up as an Asian-American. XiXi's article caught the attention of CCTV, the most powerful television broadcaster in mainland China, and it was the first time XiXi received an overwhelming amount of positive response letters! With her humble attitude, dedication to her passion, and the natural ability to captivate a wide audience, XiXi continues to shine through as her brand becomes more and more recognizable each day. Besides establishing herself as a powerhouse in the entertainment world one day at a time, XiXi enjoys working out, watching quality movies, reading inspirational books, and experimenting with her newfound hobby – cooking! XiXi always finds time to play and cuddle with her 2 adorable guinea pigs. She is currently writing about her two beloved pets in PDSA's new book "Celebrities and Their Favourite Pets" to help raise awareness and funds to care for more than 350,000 pets in the nation.
